The Railway Inn is one of very few independently owned traditional village pubs in Edinburgh. Originally established as a public house in 1891, The Railway Inn was the closest pub to the Railway Station and quickly became a firm favourite with both locals and visitors to the area. Nearly fifty years later, the trains might have gone, but The Railway Inn remains a local institution. New landlords Darren & Corinne took control of the venue in 2018, after Darren’s uncle, Alistair, decided to sell following 27 years behind the bar.
Darren & Corinne have over 30 years of experience between them in the licensed trade and are keen to keep the feel of The Railway Inn as the family run bar at the heart of the local community. Under their management, The Railway Inn will offer a family friendly atmosphere, welcoming kids from as young as five until 8PM.
